University of Maryland, Baltimore County – Engineering Lecture Hall

project description

Renovation and interior fit-out of Lecture Hall 027, and a portion of the Ground Floor lobby at the fully occupied Engineering Building at UMBC. The project included:

  • Demolition of:
    • Existing interior non-structural partitions
    • Ceilings and finishes
    • Audio/Visual and storage closets
  • New work included:
    • Interior partitions
    • Custom wood ceiling and wall panels
    • Sound absorption wall panels
    • New VCT floor finishes
    • Miscellaneous steel railings
    • Painting
    • Modified mechanical and fire protection systems
    • Fire alarm and electrical lighting
  • AV/IT work included:
    • Re-use of existing devices
    • Installation of new devices, cabling, and terminations
  • Lobby work included:
    • New flooring and ceramic tile
    • Acoustical ceilings
    • Custom wood ceiling and wall panels
    • Lobby millwork and wall finishes
    • Modified HVAC, fire protection modifications, and electrical work
